Whaaaat?! You won't get a super haircut the day after we could have strolled around NYC like snobs. :p Next time we're bringing heels and flipping our hair back when we see another hot chic.

Sara, thank you so much for this info! I've looked for tansy as an established plant, but haven't found it or the seeds locally. I plan to purchase seeds online this weekend and hope to get a plant soon. I've never heard of tansy being used in this way before, so I can't thank you enough for the helpful suggestion. I might try the crushed eucalyptus leaves as well...

I've had the same problem...and also do the humane mouse-house traps in order to release them at a park far from my house. I haven't tried the sound emitters, but I have planted some tansy in pots near both my front and back doors, as well as in one corner of the back yard. Tansy is supposed to deter pests of various kinds including rodents. I also occasionally sprinkle dried eucalyptus leaves across the doorways when I leave them open for a breeze (my old house isn't level so the screen door doesn't sit flush with the ground, ergo room for mice to sneak in). Since I planted the tansy, and I may even plant some fresh eucalyptus, I haven't spotted any signs of rodent life. I believe (but haven't tested) powdered garlic and garlic peels, sprinkled into corners, are supposed to have a pest-deterrent effect. I'm careful to use things that are safe for my pooches if they get a hold of anything. I hope this helps...

It's so good to hear that Remy is getting along after the surgery, though I'm sad to hear that he had to have a leg removed. I hope that you guys caught it in time.

We've had a little health problem with the cats as well. Dave developed feline oral resorptive disorder and lost ten teeth, but he seems to be doing better and at least he can't knock a fly off a horse with his breath anymore. At the same time that we were dealing with this we took Sophie in for her shots, and she had a life-threatening allergic reaction to them. It took her three weeks to recover and two trips to the vet, but she's finally just in the past couple of days recovering and back to normal. It was pretty touch and go for a while.

I’m playing the Trocadero October 18th. I know its early but Philly always sells out so I’m giving you plenty of advance notice. Get that shit now, motherfucker. And pass word along to any Philly fuckers you know.
